Setting your booking policy (lead time / horizon / cancellation window)

Last updated: 2026-08-15

Under Settings > Booking Page, the "Booking policy" section lets you configure three things per shop.

  • Minimum booking lead time (minutes): how soon from right now a customer can book. Defaults to 60 minutes. For example, with the default setting, if it's 2pm now, slots before 3pm won't appear to customers even if they're technically open.
  • Booking horizon (days): how many days ahead customers can book. Defaults to 90 days. With a 90-day horizon, a date 91 days out simply can't be selected on the calendar.
  • Cancellation window (hours): the cutoff for a customer to self-cancel through their booking view/cancel link. Defaults to 24 hours before the appointment. Past that point, the cancel button on the link is disabled and the customer just sees a message to contact the shop directly.

All three settings apply the same way across the web booking form, the AI chat widget, and the Kakao chatbot — every channel books through the same server-side validation.

Example: say a waxing studio keeps getting last-minute bookings that don't leave enough prep time, so they raise the minimum lead time from 60 minutes to 3 hours. From then on, if it's 10am, no slot before 1pm shows as available — whether the customer is using the web form or asking the Kakao chatbot. On the other hand, a spa that mostly serves regulars might shorten the cancellation window from 24 hours to 6 hours, letting customers self-cancel via the link right up until 6 hours before their appointment, after which they'd need to call the shop directly.

If you're wondering why certain slots show as unavailable because of the lead-time setting, see No available time slots show up on the booking form as well.
