No Available Time Slots Show Up on the Booking Form
Last updated: 2026-08-15
If you're sure you have open availability but customers see every time slot blocked, check these five things.
Example: Say a nail salon owner adds a new "Gel Extensions" service to the menu, but the booking page shows no available time slots at all once a customer selects it. Business hours and staff rosters both look fine, but opening Team Management reveals that no staff member has actually been assigned to the "Gel Extensions" service. Skipping the staff-assignment step when creating a new service means the system concludes "no one can perform this service" and shows no bookable times whatsoever. This is the single most common cause of "no time slots" reports, so whenever you add a new service, check staff assignment first.
- Business hours/closed days: Is the salon set as closed for that day? Recurring closed days and public holidays you've registered in advance are automatically blocked on the customer-facing calendar — a common culprit is a temporary closed day that was set up and never turned back off.
- Staff schedule: Is a staff member who can perform that treatment off work or on a break at that time? For example, if a staff member actually works until 6pm but their schedule was entered into the system as ending at 5pm, slots after 5pm will appear blocked even though the salon is genuinely open.
- Service-to-staff assignment: Is there a staff member assigned who can actually perform that service? A service can exist on the menu and still generate zero bookable slots if no staff member is linked to it.
- Seat/resource limits: Staff may be free, but are all treatment chairs or shampoo stations already fully booked? For instance, if you have three staff but only two treatment chairs, the third staff member being available doesn't help — any time slot without a free chair still shows as unavailable.
- Incorrect shop timezone: If automatic timezone detection failed at sign-up and silently defaulted to something like UTC, every booking time across the whole shop can look wrong or unavailable, not just a few slots. Check that the timezone field under Settings > Schedule matches your salon's actual location.
The system only shows a time slot to customers as available once all of these conditions are satisfied.
