Inviting new team members and setting permissions
Last updated: 2026-08-15
Once a new staff member joins, invite them to Biseo as a team member.
- Go to Team > Staff List and click Invite Staff.
- Enter the staff member's name and email.
- Choose a Role. The invite screen only offers two options:
STAFF: Can only view their own schedule and manage bookings (sensitive info like revenue is hidden).MANAGER: Can manage other staff members' schedules and change settings.
- An invitation email is sent. When the staff member opens the link in the email, there's no separate sign-up form โ their staff account already exists, so they just set a password for it and they're straight in as part of the team.
โจํ (Tip)Example: Say a hair salon hires a junior stylist and a shop manager at the same time. The junior stylist only needs to see their own bookings, so invite them as
STAFFโ they'll see their own booking list and work schedule, but won't see sensitive screens like revenue reports or other staff members' personal details. The manager, who'll oversee day-to-day running of the salon, should be invited asMANAGERinstead, so they can adjust other staff members' schedules and change settings like services and business hours. Both simply open the link in their invitation email and set a password to join the team.
๐ก์ฐธ๊ณ (Note)The
OWNERrole can't be granted through an invitation. OWNER access is a special link that's created automatically only when the email used at sign-up matches the business (tenant) account's own email โ it can never be assigned through the normal team invite process. For example, if an owner opens a second location and wants their spouse to help co-run it, inviting the spouse asMANAGERgrants most administrative permissions, but the OWNER role itself โ which is tied directly to the billing account โ can never be handed over through an invite.
