Setting your shop's timezone
Last updated: 2026-08-15
Your shop's timezone is the basis for customer bookings and notification sending times, so setting it correctly is very important.
How to change your timezone
- Go to the bottom of the Settings > Business Hours page.
- Under Shop timezone, select the region your shop is located in (for example,
Australia/SydneyorAustralia/Melbourne). - Daylight Saving Time is applied automatically based on the region you selected.
✨팁 (Tip)Example: If you run a massage studio in Melbourne, select
Australia/Melbourne. When daylight saving starts on the first Sunday of October each year, clocks automatically jump from 2am to 3am, and when it ends on the first Sunday of April, they fall back from 3am to 2am. The system handles this adjustment for you, so you don't need to manually re-set your business hours every time daylight saving starts or ends.
⚠️주의 (Warning)If the timezone is set incorrectly, staff schedules and booking times can get mixed up, so check this first thing after signing up.
Note
- Your timezone is auto-detected when you sign up, so in most cases you won't need to change it.
- If timezone detection fails for any reason, the system silently falls back to UTC everywhere (bookings, notifications, schedules) without an on-screen warning. For example, if a shop based in Sydney (UTC+10, or UTC+11 during daylight saving) has its timezone wrongly left at UTC, a booking taken for 10am could trigger its reminder notification at what's actually 8 or 9pm local time (the local moment that corresponds to 10am UTC) — a confusing mismatch for both you and the customer. It's worth double-checking this setting yourself right after signing up.
