Biseo Pty Ltd ("Biseo", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Biseo platform, providing AI-powered booking automation, customer management, and marketing solutions for beauty and booking businesses in Australia (together, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use our platform as a Business Partner (shop owner) or an End User (customer making a booking):

1.1 Personal Information

  • Full name and contact details (Email address, phone number).
  • Business details (ABN, shop name, location) for Partners.
  • Booking details, service preferences, and attendance history for End Users.

1.2 AI Assistant & Communications Data

  • Conversation logs, queries, and intents processed by our AI Assistant during the booking or inquiry process.
  • Records of Kakao Alimtalk, SMS, and email communications sent via the platform.

1.3 Payment Information

All subscription payments (for Partners) and booking deposits (for End Users, if applicable) are processed securely via Stripe. Biseo does not collect, store, or have access to full card numbers or complete payment credentials. We only store transaction identifiers and payment status.

1.4 Technical & Usage Information

  • IP address, browser type, and device identifiers.
  • Access times, interaction data, and analytics data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Biseo platform.
  • Facilitate automated bookings, enquiries, and customer management via the AI Assistant.
  • Send transactional notifications, booking confirmations, and reminders via Kakao Alimtalk and SMS.
  • Automate Google Review requests to support Partner businesses.
  • Train and improve the AI models to provide more accurate and context-aware responses (identifying information is stripped or anonymised where applicable).
  • Process payments and subscriptions.
  • Detect fraud and meet legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services & Integrations

Biseo integrates with industry-leading third-party providers to deliver our core features. These providers process data according to their own strict privacy and security standards:

  • OpenAI / Anthropic: Used for natural language processing and powering the AI Assistant. Chat logs and enquiries are processed to determine booking intents.
  • Kakao Corp: Used to deliver automated Kakao Alimtalk messages (booking confirmations, reminders) to End Users' phone numbers.
  • Stripe: Manages all payment processing and subscription billing securely.
  • Google: Used for Calendar syncing and routing End Users to Google Review pages.

4. Partner Responsibilities (B2B2C Context)

Biseo acts primarily as a data processor for the beauty and booking shops (our "Partners") that use our platform. The Partners are the data controllers for their respective End Users' data.

Partners are independent merchants and are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary consents to collect End User data and use Biseo's automated messaging services. Biseo is not responsible for a Partner's own handling of personal data outside the platform.

5. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS/Vercel) which may involve storage in Australia or overseas data centers. We implement reasonable technical and organisational security safeguards to protect your data, but please note that no digital system is completely secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, manage accounts, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. AI chat logs may be retained temporarily for quality assurance and model refinement.

7. Access, Correction & Deletion

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us. If you are an End User of a Partner shop, we may direct your request to the relevant Partner who controls your booking data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect platform updates or legal requirements. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
